floral studio
I am now offering teaching sessions at our new, farm-based, floral studio (Buds Barn) in Wootton St. Lawrence, near Basingstoke, Hampshire.
I have 17 years of experience in floristry, 12 of which have been specialising in wedding flowers. I have accumulated many techniques, inspirational ideas and tricks of the trade over that time which I would like to share with other flower lovers.
You tell me….
Although you may have very little floristry experience, I am happy to guide you through the basics and onwards. Alternatively you may be an experienced florist who just needs a few pointers within a specific area. Either way, ‘you tell me’ what you would like to learn and I will tailor your session to these requirements.
Our Sessions
Six amazing things you should know about our Flower School...

These come in the form of one to one’s, or you can bring a friend, one member of your family – even your children!
02
Timings
The sessions will last 3 hours with the chance to make 2 pieces (of your choice) which you will take home with you to show the family!
03
Flexible
I can be flexible with lesson timings. It can be a morning, afternoon or an evening, at times convenient to you.
04
Inclusive
All flowers and sundries will be included in the cost of the lesson and scissors and aprons will be provided.
05
Refreshments
All tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
06
Gifts
Vouchers can also be purchased if you would like to give a session as a gift.
The flowers
If you book a session between April and October the majority of the flowers will be provided by a local grower. I work closely with Tracey from Hedgerow and Bloom who is based in Dippenhall near Farnham and grows the most beautiful blooms and the best of British flowers! Lessons booked between November and March will be supplied with imported flowers.
Wreath Making
For Easter and Christmas I offer flower schools for up to 6 people to produce floral wreaths for doors or dining tables. These are 2 hour sessions with a half hour demonstration by myself and then 1.5 hours to make your own wreath (with guidance).
Get involved
So if you’ve ever wanted to learn a new skill, expand your floral styling knowledge or just have a fun afternoon with the ones you love then please get in touch and we can start talking flowers!
